Berea Moving & Storage has spent the last 10 years at our 50,000 ft.² single-floor warehouse location, in Cleveland, Ohio. Providing maximum security, for your precious objects, our facility is ideally located within three miles of both the Fire and Police Stations. Additionally, our facility is armed with a multitude of burglar, fire, and water detection alarms. We also feature ever-locked doors and a visitor sign-in sheet. To ensure privacy and object protection, our customers may only enter the storage area with the escort of an employee. Accommodating customers with any sized collections, we offer both private and shared climate controlled (climate-monitored) rooms within our warehouse, as well.

Many facilities claim to have climate-controlled storage. However, without a standard definition there can be quite a variance between the actual storage environments from company to company. The difference between a true climate-controlled environment versus simply a temperature-controlled environment is humidity.

Truly climate-controlled facilities are equipped to manage and regulate both temperature as well as humidity. A critical factor in preserving valuable, sensitive items is proper moisture content in the air is the. As air temperature changes, the relative humidity changes, too. So, maintaining temperature in a storage area is a good start, however other factors also contribute to moisture in the air, and in order to preserve certain items constant humidity is a must.

At Berea Moving & Storage, we take specific measures to ensure our Micro-Climate Storage Rooms are “climate-controlled and monitored” or as we like to call them, “climate-monitored.” Our goal is to maintain 68 degrees Fahrenheit as well as 55% relative humidity. In order to maintain this standard, we utilize a series of humidity and temperature alarms systems, water detection systems, and multiple backup generators. These systems are deployed on top of our typical storage security systems including smoke/fire alarms, motion detector alarms, and 24/7 camera monitoring.
